Every day, I read through Customs and Border Protections’ press releases. Unlike other government agencies, they post several updates a day. It’s not that they’re just more attentive than most, though they clearly are. It’s because there’s always more news to cover and mainstream media isn’t doing their job of covering the border crisis properly.
One thing I’ve noticed in recent weeks is an increase in the number of child sex offenders crossing the border illegally. Here’s today’s double-whammy:
On August 2, agents assigned to the El Paso Border Patrol Station processing facility identified a Brazilian national as a previously deported felon. Records checks revealed that 32 year-old Washington Silva-Santos had been convicted in Newport County, Rhode Island for first degree child molestation. Silva will be held pending criminal proceedings.
During a separate incident early August 5, Santa Teresa Border Patrol Agents arrested a Mexican national identified as 23 year-old Saul Sanchez Romero. During processing, record checks revealed that Sanchez Romero, had been previously arrested and convicted for 2nd degree rape, custodial interference, unlawful transaction with a minor-2nd degree, possession of marijuana and controlled substance-public intoxication in Paris, Kentucky. Sanchez Romero is currently being held pending criminal proceedings.
I get tired of repeating the same stories over and over again, but they all seem to be the same. A previously convicted sex offender from another country who was deported has been captured trying to cross back into the country. It’s literally a daily occurrence, and I only write about a fraction of them. But here are some of the recent ones:
- Previously deported sex offender Adolfo Torres-Aguilar the latest caught trying to reenter country
- Illegal alien Andres Fuentes-Castro arrested for allegedly raping three kids
- Deported child rapist Gregorio Neri-Basilio caught trying breach open border section
- Illegal alien hit man Jose Juana-Zapata and child sex offender Victor Rodriguez-Galven arrested
- Deported child molester José Ramón Aguilar-Moreno returned, indicted again for child sex crimes
I hate sounding like a broken record, but this doesn’t seem to be getting any better. In fact, anecdotally I’d say the number of child sex offenders trying to come back across the border after deportation is increasing dramatically. The scariest part is knowing that with border patrol so hampered by the massive surge of migrants they’re forced to process every day, there must be many more child rapists crossing the border who aren’t captured.
Even Democrats who are sympathetic of economic migrants seeking a better life must acknowledge that crossing the border illegally makes it easier for child rapists to cross undetected. This isn’t a “right-wing conspiracy.” Based on the facts, this is an indisputable reality.
How many more children must be victimized by illegal aliens before Democrats start giving a damn? They claim to be compassionate, but that compassion does not extend to American citizens and the child victims of these monsters.
