When political pundits and news junkies think of the “investigations of the investigators” seeking to figure out how the whole Russian collusion hoax was started and why it was allowed to waste time and money for so long, we usually think of Attorney General William Barr or U.S. Attorney John Durham, the men in charge of discovering the truth for the Department of Justice and thereby the American people. But on the Congressional side, where most of the focus by the Democratic-controlled body is focused on subpoenas against President Trump’s people, one Congressman has been working behind the scenes to uncover the truth.
House Freedom Caucus chair Mark Meadows was considered a candidate for Chief of Staff when John Kelly resigned. His name has been floated for multiple positions, but the President has remained consistent in saying Meadows is too valuable in Congress. This may seem strange as members of Congress are normally not considered powerful enough to influence politics on their own, but Meadows is not a your average Congressman. Few understand how Washington works better than Meadows, but more importantly nobody sitting in Congress understands the relationships between Capitol Hill and the White House.
And nobody uses this understanding with more effect than Meadows.
He was spotted going to the Department of Justice last week. When a reported asked him what he was up to, he transparently let her know his purpose.
I asked Rep. Mark Meadows what brought him to DOJ headquarters today. His response: "I was reviewing text messages and new correspondence that pertains to the Strzok coverup"

It was, of course, no coincidence that hours after he went to review the new correspondence between the lovebirds, the President gave Barr unilateral authority to declassify 2016 campaign spying documents. Still, he feigned surprise on Twitter.
Outstanding—President Trump authorizing the Attorney General to declassify documents related to surveillance during the 2016 election. Americans are going to learn the truth about what occurred at their Justice Department.#ReleaseTheDocuments

That’s what we get with Meadows – a civil servant who makes sure the right things are happening in DC, then offers kudos to others for benefiting from his actions. That’s not to say Meadows is selfless; one does not get to a position of power in DC without making sure they act at times in their own best interests. But his reward comes in the form of the truth finally making it out to the American public. When you’re on the side of the truth, it behooves you to make sure the truth is know. Only lies can hurt those who live by the truth.
One such lie is underway as we speak. Democrats are preemptively calling the whole ordeal over the source of the Russian investigation a “coverup.” They’re doing this because they know there really was a coverup, but not by the President or his campaign team. The coverup was perpetrated by the President’s enemies, which is why the Democrats are using their jamming capabilities to confuse the American people. They’re making invalid statements to keep the media spinning for them and to keep the people as confused as possible.
The Democrats are right that there is a coverup happening with the whole Russian affair. But what they pretend to be sourced from the President is really based on their own desires to deceive the people. THEY are the ones doing the coverup.
