Two ATF agents and a state trooper recently showed up at the home of a man in Delaware, seemingly without a warrant and in tactical gear, asking to see his legally-purchased guns and log the serial numbers. Their request was caught on tape by a front door camera and posted online anonymously.

“All I’m doing is verifying that you have it, you got two different purchases,” the agent said, pointing to a document that presumably shows the purchases. “If you have them, I’m out of here. That’s how quick it is. Yeah. Do you have them with you by any chance?” the agent said.

It is imperative that each and every citizen learn and understand their constitutional rights, both federal and state. The gun owner did nothing wrong and should have told the agents in a nice firm way to scram. What he did with his legally purchased firearms is none of the government’s business. He should have asked them what crime he was suspected of violating. By doing so they are put on the defensive. Did they have a warrant that specified what criminal act he had committed? The next thing he should have said, was I don’t answer questions now please leave my property. Then step back inside if out and then shut the door. This was a violation of the 2nd ,4th and 5th Amendments.When arrested, you only are required to give name and date of birth. You do not have to cooperate with their investigation or help them dig up whatever they are trying to find.
Do not try to explain anything since they have their minds made up. Any attempt at an explanation only digs your hole deeper even when innocent. They are experts at lying and using entrapment methods.
