Two important things happened today for women worldwide. First, embattled Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has moved on from her antisemitic firestorm and started focusing on constructive issues such as promoting International Women’s Day.
Happy International Women’s Day!
I stand in solidarity with everyone who is fighting to protect the rights of women and girls, domestically and internationally ✊? https://t.co/g1xDKsS7uA

Second, Turkey fired tear gas on people marching for the International Women’s Day, an event deemed to be a threat to the self-proclaim caliph and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
.@aykan_erdemir quoted in @FoxNews: "The Turkish police's brutal crackdown on the #InternationalWomensDay celebrations in #Istanbul is yet another sign of the growing paranoia of #Erdogan, who sees any public demonstration as an attempt to topple him." https://t.co/vLVDCCQU1n

My Take
The hypocrisy is not only evident but so blatant that it’s shocking mainstream media is able to ignore it. Even if it goes against many of their narratives, this should be a very juicy contradiction in the Congresswomen’s political motif.
Then again, they may just be ignoring it because they knew it would happen. Last year, riot police used tear gas on women’s rights marchers as well. Why? Because they were women. That’s not acceptable under sharia law.
Now, imagine if it was Israel instead of Turkey who was tear gassing women on the day Ilhan Omar celebrated International Women’s Day. Do you think she would be conspicuously silent? No. Antisemites love to look away from Islamic oppression.
