Recently, Republicans in the North Carolina State House advanced legislation to ban sanctuary counties that provide shelter to illegal aliens and prevent them from being arrested and deported.
John Binder of Breitbart News noted that Republicans passed House Bill 10 , which State Representatives Destin Hall, Brenden Jones, Jason Saine, and Carson Smith sponsored. This bill would have all counties in North Carolina comply with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Per Center for Immigration Studies’ analysis , Buncombe County, Durham County, Forsyth County, Mecklenburg County, Orange County, and Wake County are sanctuary jurisdictions that don’t even turn over illegal aliens arrested by law enforcement over to ICE agents.
