A group of national security experts published a full-page advertisement on the New York Times calling for a swift and diplomatic end to the conflict in Ukraine and for the U.S. to end all of its military aid shipments to the country.
The national security experts in question are the members of the Eisenhower Media Network (EMN), an organization of former military, intelligence and national security officials with expertise in military, foreign policy and national security issues. In the EMN’s letter, the organization calls American involvement in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine an “ unmitigated disaster ” and urges Congress and President Joe Biden “ to end the war speedily through diplomacy, especially given the dangers of military escalation that could spiral out of control.”
