Americans are still struggling to save money at the end of each month amid the increased cost of living, according to a new report.
The report by LendingClub and Paymnts is based on a survey of 4,163 U.S. consumers conducted from January 6 to 27.
Researchers also included analysis of other economic data.
The report found that as of January, 60 percent of U.S. adults, including more than four in 10 high-income consumers, live paycheck to paycheck.However, this number is down from 64 percent in January 2022.According to the report, 45 percent of consumers annually earning more than $100,000 reported living paycheck to paycheck in January 2023, down from 48 percent at the same time last year.An earlier Paymnts/LendingClub survey in December last year found that around 64 percent of consumers were left with little to no money to spend at the end of the month, marking 9.3 million more than the […]
