That didn’t take long. The Megyn Kelly experiment at NBC wasn’t making much of a splash from the start, but it’s ironic that it ended in controversy. Perhaps that’s better for her career that she displayed poor judgment rather than focusing on her poor ratings.

‘Megyn Kelly is done. She is not ever coming back,’ said an NBC executive with knowledge of the situation.
‘We are just working out timing of the announcement but mark my word – she is gone and will never be seen on NBC live again.’
The source then added: ‘Here’s the worst part – her deal is a non-break deal – so she walks away with all that money. It’s disgusting and heads should roll here because of it.’
No, heads shouldn’t roll because of Kelly’s contract. It was bad, but let’s face it. They rolled the dice. They tried to take someone who had built a resume as right-leaning and tried to insert her into a news outlet that is left-leaning. Their goal of being fair and balanced and taking a chunk from Fox News was never reached.
If heads roll, it should be because they thought it could work in the first place. Giving her big money and making it guaranteed is what it took to bring her, so the details aren’t important. The idea was a bad one. For that, heads should roll.
