United States Senators recently passed a $1.2 trillion spending bill on March 23, 2024 to prevent a partial government shutdown. This seemingly out an end to a budgetary squabble that threatened to shut down non-essential operations of several government agencies.
The bill is currently making progress in the US Senate, which is under Democrat control.
The budgetary agreement was embraced by President Joe Biden, who ended up signing the bill on March 23.
