(Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images) Former President Donald Trump kicked off Super Tuesday with wins in the Virginia and North Carolina primaries, according to The Associated Press.
Trump beat former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley 65.9% to 32.1% in Virginia, the AP projected at the time of writing. The AP also called North Carolina for the former president, where he led Haley 73% to 23.9%. (RELATED: Trump Wins North Dakota Caucuses)
Over a dozen other states are also holding their respective Republican nominating contests on Tuesday where hundreds of delegates are up for grabs, including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
