President Donald Trump has announced his plan to create a federal task force aimed at combating anti-Christian discrimination. Speaking at the Turning Point Action Believers Summit in West Palm Beach on Friday, Trump outlined the proposed task force, which would investigate instances of persecution against Christians.
“I will create a new Federal Task Force on Fighting Anti-Christian bias. Its mission will be to investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment, and persecution against Christians in America,” Trump declared.
Trump has previously pledged to create a task force designed to push back against anti-Christian biases. Last year on the campaign trail, Trump promised to “end the war on Christians,” and said that under the Biden administration, “Christians and Americans of faith are being persecuted and government is being weaponized against religion like never before.”
This initiative comes on the heels of concerns raised by congressional Republicans, who have said that the FBI has been targeting devout religious Christians under the Biden administration.
