Former President Donald Trump on Monday warned that a victory for Vice President Kamala Harris in November would have adverse consequences for the U.S., calling her an “economy wrecker” and a “country destroyer.”
Trump made the remarks at an event in York, Pa., amid the Democratic National Convention.
“If Kamala gets in, the United States, will rapidly become a de-industrialized third world nation, like so many others have become,” he warned. “She’s running on socialist price controls, banning gas powered cars and trucks, and private health insurance policies are gone.”
Harris proposed a federal ban on price-gouging, saying on Friday that “I will go after the bad actors, and I will work to pass the first ever federal ban on price-gouging on food. My plan will include new penalties for opportunistic companies that exploit crises and break the rules, and we will support smaller food businesses that are trying to play by the rules and get ahead.”
