Former President Donald Trump on Monday endorsed North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley to take over the Republican National Committee when Ronna McDaniel steps down.
He also backed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, serve as the co-chairwoman and announced that he had asked Chris LaCivita to assume the role of de facto chief operating officer.
“The RNC MUST be a good partner in the Presidential election,” Trump declared. “It must do the work we expect from the national Party and do it flawlessly.
