A 26-year-old Eritrean migrant brutally attacked a 55-year-old Italian woman and a 16-year-old girl at Zurich’s central train station on Sunday evening. Both women had to be hospitalized, the first with serious head injuries, police said in a statement Monday.

Unprovoked, the migrant viciously punched and kicked the Italian woman. Even when she lay motionless on the floor, he continued beating her. “She was unconscious, lying in her own pool of blood,” said a 28-year-old eyewitness.
