Hans von Spakovsky, one of the authors of Project 2025, clarified that the project was not written for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and that it predates his 2024 campaign.
Project 2025 is a database created by the Heritage Foundation that lays out a plan for policies when the next Republican administration takes over and has been criticized by Democrats and influencers.
“That’s exactly right,” Spakovsky responded to a question on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show, clarifying that Project 2025 was created prior to the Republican primary to determine the nominee.
