(The Economic Collapse Blog)—Large numbers of young women in their twenties and thirties are getting permanently sterilized in order to make absolutely sure that they will never get pregnant. In the old days, it was extremely rare to hear of a young woman getting sterilized during her prime childbearing years, but now it is very common. As you will see below, many U.S. adults no longer consider having children or being married to be very important goals in life. Instead, a lot of them are focusing on other pursuits, and they don’t want unintended pregnancies messing that up. In some cases, young adults are taking things to the extreme by getting permanently sterilized. According to one national study, there was a very sharp increase in the number of tubal sterilizations and vasectomies immediately following the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade…
The national study, published today in a JAMA Health ForumTrusted Source research letter, is the first to evaluate the effects of the historic Dobbs v. Jackson ruling on permanent sterilization measures among young adults.
Looking at data from 113 million people across the United States, policy researchers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health and Boston University found an abrupt nationwide increase in tubal sterilizations and vasectomies among adults ages 18–30.
The increase in sterilizations was particularly sharp for young women.
In fact, the rate of sterilizations for young women nearly doubled…
The researchers found after the Dobbs decision there was an immediate increase of 58 sterilization procedures for women or about 5.31 procedures a month per 100,000 people. This is nearly double the previous rate of 2.84 procedures per month for women.
A 25-year-old nursing student named Jurnee McKay was recently asked why she decided to get sterilized, and she rattled off a long list of reasons why she never wants to get pregnant…
When Jurnee McKay, 25, imagines having children, a series of scary scenarios pop into her mind: the “horrors” of childbirth, risks associated with pregnancy, a flighty potential partner, exorbitant child care costs.
Abortion care restrictions are also on her list of fears. So Ms. McKay, a nursing student in Orlando, decided to eliminate the possibility of an accidental pregnancy. But first doctor she consulted refused to remove her fallopian tubes, she said, insisting that she might change her mind after meeting her “soul mate.”
Of course McKay is far from alone. Sadly, a study that was recently released by the Pew Research Center discovered that the portion of the population that is not interested in raising children has been getting larger…
Like Ms. McKay, a growing number of U.S. adults say they are unlikely to raise children, according to a study released on Thursday by the Pew Research Center. When the survey was conducted in 2023, 47 percent of those younger than 50 without children said they were unlikely ever to have children, an increase of 10 percentage points since 2018.
When asked why kids were not in their future, 57 percent said they simply didn’t want to have them. Women were more likely to respond this way than men (64 percent vs. 50 percent). Further reasons included the desire to focus on other things, like their career or interests; concerns about the state of the world; worries about the costs involved in raising a child; concerns about the environment, including climate change; and not having found the right partner.
So where in the world are all of these young people getting these ideas?
Could it be possible that they are being influenced to think this way?
Millions upon millions of our young people have fully embraced the values that politicians such as Kamala Harris have been preaching…
Resurfaced video shows Kamala Harris suggesting that young people should not have children due to climate change
She calls climate anxiety “the fear of the future and the unknown of whether it makes sense for you to even think about having children.”
Needless to say, a lot of young women that are getting permanently sterilized now will wish that they could reverse that decision later.
And any society that does not value marriage, family and children is not going to thrive for long.
Here in the United States, our birth rate has been below replacement level since the 1970s, and last year it dropped to a brand new all-time record low…
The rate in the U.S. has remained generally under or around 2.1 children per woman, or what is known as the “replacement rate,” since the 1970s. A rate of 1.62 in 2023 marks a new low and a sign of years of decline.
The only reason our population has still been growing is due to record levels of immigration.
Otherwise, our population would be steadily shrinking.
If we want to turn things around, we need a revolution in the hearts and minds of our young people.
Because right now large numbers of them do not value marriage and children at all…
When asked what it takes to lead a fulfilling life, the public prioritizes job satisfaction and friendship over marriage and parenthood. Some 71% of all adults say having a job or career they enjoy is extremely or very important in order for people to live a fulfilling life. And 61% say having close friends is equally important.
Only about one-in-four adults say having children (26%) or being married (23%) is extremely or very important in order to live a fulfilling life. A third say each of these is somewhat important. And 42% and 44%, respectively, say having children or being married is not too or not at all important.
Having a lot of money is viewed as extremely or very important for a fulfilling life by 24% of adults, while another 49% say this is somewhat important. About one-in-four adults (27%) say this is not too or not at all important.
Those that believe in population control have done a great job of convincing millions upon millions of our young people that having children is not desirable.
We have been trained to chase after money, but that is a road that does not lead to true happiness.
In fact, many of the wealthiest people in the world are also extremely miserable.

Five Things New “Preppers” Forget When Getting Ready for Bad Times Ahead
The preparedness community is growing faster than it has in decades. Even during peak times such as Y2K, the economic downturn of 2008, and Covid, the vast majority of Americans made sure they had plenty of toilet paper but didn’t really stockpile anything else.
Things have changed. There’s a growing anxiety in this presidential election year that has prompted more Americans to get prepared for crazy events in the future. Some of it is being driven by fearmongers, but there are valid concerns with the economy, food supply, pharmaceuticals, the energy grid, and mass rioting that have pushed average Americans into “prepper” mode.
There are degrees of preparedness. One does not have to be a full-blown “doomsday prepper” living off-grid in a secure Montana bunker in order to be ahead of the curve. In many ways, preparedness isn’t about being able to perfectly handle every conceivable situation. It’s about being less dependent on government for as long as possible. Those who have proper “preps” will not be waiting for FEMA to distribute emergency supplies to the desperate masses.
Below are five things people new to preparedness (and sometimes even those with experience) often forget as they get ready. All five are common sense notions that do not rely on doomsday in order to be useful. It may be nice to own a tank during the apocalypse but there’s not much you can do with it until things get really crazy. The recommendations below can have places in the lives of average Americans whether doomsday comes or not.

Secured Wealth
Whether in the bank or held in a retirement account, most Americans feel that their life’s savings is relatively secure. At least they did until the last couple of years when de-banking, geopolitical turmoil, and the threat of Central Bank Digital Currencies reared their ugly heads.
It behooves Americans to diversify their holdings. If there’s a triggering event or series of events that cripple the financial systems or devalue the U.S. Dollar, wealth can evaporate quickly. To hedge against potential turmoil, many Americans are looking in two directions: Crypto and physical precious metals.
There are huge advantages to cryptocurrencies, but there are also inherent risks because “virtual” money can become challenging to spend. Add in the push by central banks and governments to regulate or even replace cryptocurrencies with their own versions they control and the risks amplify. There’s nothing wrong with cryptocurrencies today but things can change rapidly.
As for physical precious metals, many Americans pay cash to keep plenty on hand in their safe. Rolling over or transferring retirement accounts into self-directed IRAs is also a popular option, but there are caveats. It can often take weeks or even months to get the gold and silver shipped if the owner chooses to close their account. This is why Genesis Gold Group stands out. Their relationship with the depositories allows for rapid closure and shipping, often in less than 10 days from the time the account holder makes their move. This can come in handy if things appear to be heading south.
Lots of Potable Water
One of the biggest shocks that hit new preppers is understanding how much potable water they need in order to survive. Experts claim one gallon of water per person per day is necessary. Even the most conservative estimates put it at over half-a-gallon. That means that for a family of four, they’ll need around 120 gallons of water to survive for a month if the taps turn off and the stores empty out.
Being near a fresh water source, whether it’s a river, lake, or well, is a best practice among experienced preppers. It’s necessary to have a water filter as well, even if the taps are still working. Many refuse to drink tap water even when there is no emergency. Berkey was our previous favorite but they’re under attack from regulators so the Alexapure systems are solid replacements.
For those in the city or away from fresh water sources, storage is the best option. This can be challenging because proper water storage containers take up a lot of room and are difficult to move if the need arises. For “bug in” situations, having a larger container that stores hundreds or even thousands of gallons is better than stacking 1-5 gallon containers. Unfortunately, they won’t be easily transportable and they can cost a lot to install.
Water is critical. If chaos erupts and water infrastructure is compromised, having a large backup supply can be lifesaving.
Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies
There are multiple threats specific to the medical supply chain. With Chinese and Indian imports accounting for over 90% of pharmaceutical ingredients in the United States, deteriorating relations could make it impossible to get the medicines and antibiotics many of us need.
Stocking up many prescription medications can be hard. Doctors generally do not like to prescribe large batches of drugs even if they are shelf-stable for extended periods of time. It is a best practice to ask your doctor if they can prescribe a larger amount. Today, some are sympathetic to concerns about pharmacies running out or becoming inaccessible. Tell them your concerns. It’s worth a shot. The worst they can do is say no.
If your doctor is unwilling to help you stock up on medicines, then Jase Medical is a good alternative. Through telehealth, they can prescribe daily meds or antibiotics that are shipped to your door. As proponents of medical freedom, they empathize with those who want to have enough medical supplies on hand in case things go wrong.
Energy Sources
The vast majority of Americans are locked into the grid. This has proven to be a massive liability when the grid goes down. Unfortunately, there are no inexpensive remedies.
Those living off-grid had to either spend a lot of money or effort (or both) to get their alternative energy sources like solar set up. For those who do not want to go so far, it’s still a best practice to have backup power sources. Diesel generators and portable solar panels are the two most popular, and while they’re not inexpensive they are not out of reach of most Americans who are concerned about being without power for extended periods of time.
Natural gas is another necessity for many, but that’s far more challenging to replace. Having alternatives for heating and cooking that can be powered if gas and electric grids go down is important. Have a backup for items that require power such as manual can openers. If you’re stuck eating canned foods for a while and all you have is an electric opener, you’ll have problems.
Don’t Forget the Protein
When most think about “prepping,” they think about their food supply. More Americans are turning to gardening and homesteading as ways to produce their own food. Others are working with local farmers and ranchers to purchase directly from the sources. This is a good idea whether doomsday comes or not, but it’s particularly important if the food supply chain is broken.
Most grocery stores have about one to two weeks worth of food, as do most American households. Grocers rely heavily on truckers to receive their ongoing shipments. In a crisis, the current process can fail. It behooves Americans for multiple reasons to localize their food purchases as much as possible.
Long-term storage is another popular option. Canned foods, MREs, and freeze dried meals are selling out quickly even as prices rise. But one component that is conspicuously absent in shelf-stable food is high-quality protein. Most survival food companies offer low quality “protein buckets” or cans of meat, but they are often barely edible.
Prepper All-Naturals offers premium cuts of steak that have been cooked sous vide and freeze dried to give them a 25-year shelf life. They offer Ribeye, NY Strip, and Tenderloin among others.
Having buckets of beans and rice is a good start, but keeping a solid supply of high-quality protein isn’t just healthier. It can help a family maintain normalcy through crises.
Prepare Without Fear
With all the challenges we face as Americans today, it can be emotionally draining. Citizens are scared and there’s nothing irrational about their concerns. Being prepared and making lifestyle changes to secure necessities can go a long way toward overcoming the fears that plague us. We should hope and pray for the best but prepare for the worst. And if the worst does come, then knowing we did what we could to be ready for it will help us face those challenges with confidence.
Considering the vast majority of these women are leftists,
there will be fewer and fewer leftists replicating, and those
sane women that are having children will be raising conservatives.
A win for America as founded.
I am a conservative who never had kids. I am one of those “childless cat ladies” and proud of my cat rescue work over the past 30 years. I am not alone. Trust me on that. TRUMP 2024 !!
Bottom line is that women who are sterilizing themselves are doing the right thing and more leftist women should consider this.
I suppose they know that it’s easier to hawk their wares with an assurance like that to the customer. On the other hand, men who want a woman to create a family are going to be interested in them for only an hour at a time.
I think it is great they are surgically shutting it down and I think that all the lefty loons should not procreate
Not Muslim women. Their goal is to populate and dominate nations they migrate to as much as possible with their ultra-violent death cult idealism. Just look at Europe.
Sounds like a win to me.
Less blue hairs, less blue voters, and less tra(i)n(s)-wrecked children.
crooks in Washington DC have trashed the value of the dollar causing new families to never happen. US Government over-reach into private lives is a HUGE deterrent to having a family. CPS(child ‘protective’ service) is another reason to never have kids, school system by government loons is another reason to not have kids in AMERICA.
— a free country? —-governed by a CONSTITUTION ? —is NOT HAPPENING.
————With all that and you want kids and a family where you can hardly make a living.
———-The whole problem is the crooked US Government.
I’m thinking people like that shouldn’t reproduce anyway, eh?
Good, less fascist ANTI-DEMOCRATIC PARTY leftist filth destroying America and filling society with racism and hate. No baby murder either. Win/win. 👍😉
This is the way to avoid abortions, and who wants to raise a child in this crazy world today?
They are mentally ill, angry, selfish feminists removing themselves from the gene pool. Big boom in cat sales coming.
Asking for responses. The Apostle Paul wrote that men should not touch a woman, that unmarried men should remain that way and that married men should treat their wives as if they had none. So, what make ye of this? I maintain that Paul, who believed he would be alive to meet the Lord in the air, must have honestly and sincerely believed the eschaton (Parousia) was near, was at hand, was coming soon, was just around the corner and was imminent. Moreover, I submit that the reason Paul and Jesus’ disciples believed this was the case was simply because of what Jesus had prophesied in Mark 13:30, Matthew 24:34 and Luke 21:32. Fo example, Mark 13:30 (“Good News For Modern Man”, 1966) reads as follows: “Remember this! All these things will happen before the people now living [in what Jesus called that evil and adulterous generation] have all died.” (Words in brackets are mine and are added for clarification and emphasis.) Thanks for any responses.
And when they get old and realize what they’ve done to themselves they’ll get twenty cats.
Sad as it is, I say good for you. Don’t want children born to women like this who would raise them to think and behave just like them. Better to never have children than to get pregnant and abort them. These young people show no sense of destiny. They are afraid of their future.
What is a woman? What is uniquely feminine? Women are mothers, bear children, nurse them, raise them in their early years, and are in charge of the family and household. These things are uniquely feminine. Every human being alive now or that has ever lived was born to a woman. Where would we be without them?
Women sterilizing themselves is the antithesis of womanhood, femininity, and family. It is a reflection of the malignant cancer that has infected all aspects of our society. The trajectory of “we the species” is clear. We can embrace what is uniquely feminine or we can destroy it. I prefer the former.
These women are probably feminists who have facial and neck tattoos, piercings everywhere, colored clown hair, and are confused about their gender and crying for attention. They are also Karens who complain about everything and blame others when they don’t get their way. In other words, they are miserable creatures who want to share their miseries.
