Pennsylvania Democrats announced on Tuesday a new universal voter registration system, automatically registering all residents with a state ID or driver’s license to vote, regardless of their individual intent.
This initiative, which requires registrants to be Pennsylvania residents for at least 30 days in addition to being U.S. citizens, comes as the state gears up for the crucial 2024 election , sparking both applause and fiery concerns from various quarters.
