North Korea has hired a Russian influencer to promote tourism in the hermit kingdom, formally the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The DPRK government hired the 23-year-old influencer named Viktoria to promote the Masikryong Ski Resort, a three-hour drive from the capital Pyongyang, on her Instagram account. The model with almost 80,000 followers across several platforms posted about how she enjoyed the trip to the ski resort, the first time in her life that she did so. According to Viktoria, she was instructed with the basics of skiing in English.
