NASCAR has reinstated driver Noah Gragson after he successfully completed his re-education in diversity and inclusion, NASCAR announced, a little over a month after he was suspended for liking a meme about George Floyd on Instagram.
“Noah Gragson has completed diversity and inclusion training with our partners at RISE,” a NASCAR spokesperson said , adding that the group recommended his reinstatement, restoring his member privileges.
RISE describes itself as “a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations.”
Gragson took to his social media to thank NASCAR for giving him a second chance.”I want to express my sincere gratitude to NASCAR for reinstating me.
