Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed Thursday that she’d “never been that impressed” with President Joe Biden’s political operations, despite previously claiming he should be added to Mount Rushmore.
Pelosi claimed on Sunday that Biden was “such a consequential president of the United States,” that he deserves to be on the historic landmark, alongside other great presidents like Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington.
The former speaker continued her praise for the president, who decided late last month to drop his bid for reelection after pressure from his party, telling the New Yorker that he has “been, really, a fantastic president,” but said that she had serious concerns about whether he could win in November.
“I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation,” Pelosi told the magazine. “They won the White House. Bravo. But my concern was: this ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for this to happen. The President has to make the decision for that to happen.” […]
