Former Attorney General Bill Barr has found himself in the crosshairs of former President Donald Trump and several conservative personalities after voicing support for the Biden Department of Justice’s decision to prosecute Trump over alleged mishandling of classified documents.
Trump took to Truth Social to blast Barr as “Gutless Pig” and urged his supporters to turn off Fox News whenever he appears. “Barr’s doing it because he hates ‘Trump’ for firing him,” the former president said on Sunday. “He was deathly afraid of the Radical Left when they said they would Impeach him.”
Trump’s fired-up remarks came in response to Barr’s interview with Fox News’s Shannon Bream on Sunday, during which Barr referred to the DOJ’s indictment as “very damning.” Barr dismissed Trump’s defense, claiming, “This idea of presenting Trump as a victim here, a victim of a witch hunt is ridiculous.”
