Utah Rep. Burgess Owens has endorsed fellow Republican and former President Donald Trump in his 2024 presidential bid and says President Biden has done “damage” to the country.
“Donald Trump delivered record-breaking growth to all communities,” Owens, who was born in the segregated South, told the Daily Caller . “I witnessed Donald Trump help the black community more than any president in my lifetime. Record growth for black business owners, then to answer this, the Democrats nominated the last segregationist in American politics, Joe Biden.”
Owens is a former football player who played 10 seasons in the NFL. He played for the New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders.
