In the aftermath of a short-term funding bill to keep the federal government open, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said on Sunday he will fill a motion to remove House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from his post sometime this week.
“We need to rip off the Bandaid. We need to move on with new leadership that can be trustworthy,” Mr. Gaetz said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
