A Tennessee Beacon Poll shows former President Donald Trump with a 49-point lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the GOP primary. He is also beating President Joe Biden in the state of Tennessee.
The poll places Trump in the lead at 61 percent, with DeSantis trailing at 12 percent in the state for the Republican primary. Former Vice President Mike Pence is currently sitting in the third spot with eight percent.
The poll analyzed what the results of the general election would be if it were held today between Trump and Biden. Trump would receive 54 percent of the general vote, with Biden receiving just 34 percent.
