A Florida family whose home was damaged by a piece of debris that fell from the International Space Station and smashed through their roof earlier this year is seeking compensation from NASA for property and emotional damages.
In a press release from the law firm Cranfill Summer published on June 21, attorney Mica Nguyen Worthy said a chunk of space debris tore through Alejandro Otero’s home on March 8 and created a “sizable hole” in the roof and sub-flooring.
