Actor Alec Baldwin is facing increasing scrutiny as he weathers fallout from his shooting of two people on the set of a film he was producing. Baldwin killed a female cinematographer and injured a director when he apparently opened fire on the set of his Western movie production “Rust.” Baldwin’s defenders are spinning the incident as an accident. But conservatives and fair-minded observers everywhere are asking questions about what actually happened. Now, things are getting worse for the leftist thespian.
President Donald Trump has now questioned “nut job” Baldwin’s mental state and wondered whether Baldwin shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza intentionally. Baldwin’s softball interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC did not come off too positively for him, and it’s public knowledge that a major labor dispute was happening on Baldwin’s set due to bad gun safety protocols among other issues. Baldwin, who previously starred in a movie called “An Imperfect Murder,” claims that he did not pull the trigger of the weapon that shot his two victims but rather he let go of the hammer and the gun fired.
