A mission-driven leader, Thomsen will fight for Pennsylvania jobs and secure the border to end the flow of illegal drugs into our country
BEAVER COUNTY, PA – October 2 – Conservative Republican Brian Thomsen, a former Green Beret, MBA and business consultant, announced his candidacy for Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District.
Thomsen’s announcement comes with a pledge to fight for Pennsylvania jobs, which have been the core of our state for generations, focusing on American industry and securing our nation’s border to stop the drug epidemic from continuing to wreak havoc on families across our state.
“Washington is broken from years of career politicians putting themselves before the interests of their voters – you can’t solve a problem with more of the same problem.
“Conor Lamb doesn’t have the grit to get things done. Working Americans shouldn’t have to take matters into their own hands because Washington is chasing its tail. I’m not going to Congress to over promise and under deliver. I’m going to Washington to do the hard work and get the job done.
“I’ll go to Congress and secure our border to stop the tide of illegal drugs coming in, create jobs, keep taxes low and I promise to shrink the government that the career politicians grew too big. Most of all, I’m a proud hardworking American veteran, Pennsylvanian, and family man. These are the values I’ll bring to Congress.”
The Chief Strategist for Brian Thomsen’s campaign, John Thomas, said, “Throughout his life, Brian has proven time and again, wherever he goes, success follows. Congress is broken and we need someone like him, a determined battle-tested leader with fresh ideas and a track record of getting things done, not more D.C. doublespeak.”
Brian Thomsen is a business consultant who coaches leaders on how to be successful and helps organizations come up with creative solutions to complex problems.
He is a veteran Green Beret, having served his country overseas in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Like many young Americans, he left high school unsure what to do next; he attended college classes and worked in a food processing plant to take care of his young family.
Feeling the strain of a growing family, Brian enlisted in the national guard to better meet the family’s needs and secure a brighter future. After deploying to Iraq, he returned home inspired to make a greater impact with his service and volunteered for Army Special Forces training to become a Green Beret.
Brian has over 23 years of military service, an MBA from Duke University, four adult children, and two grandchildren.
