Reactions to Representative Sheila Jackson Lee’s statement about the AR-15 she supposedly held in her hands have been almost certainly incorrect. Conservatives have said she must be extremely misinformed about firearms to so blatantly mischaracterize them, going so far as to invoke armor-piercing .50 caliber ammunition as the rounds fired by the “scary” weapon.
Many on the right are laughing after she said these rifles weigh as much as 10 moving boxes. They chuckle because they believe she simply lacks the intelligence to properly describe what she allegedly experienced and to confuse a very small round, the .223, with the big daddy round, the .50.
I don’t believe she was being ignorant. I refuse to believe that anyone elected to Capitol Hill can be that unintelligent. Therefore, I firmly believe she is telling these bald-faced lies willfully and with the intention of misleading her constituents for the sake of gun control. She isn’t stupid. She just believes her voters are stupid. That’s the only logical explanation for this:
“I held an AR-15 in my hand, I wish I hadn’t. It is as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving. And the bullet that is utilized, a .50 caliber, these kinds of bullets need to be licensed and do not need to be on the street.” – Rep. @JacksonLeeTX18 pic.twitter.com/U71ir6BHZH

We must accept that anything spoken by certain Democrats (most of them, in fact) has a high degree of likeliness of being an outright lie. They do not believe in the truth because the truth doesn’t match their agenda.
We are currently forming the American Conservative Movement. If you are interested in learning more, we will be sending out information in a few weeks.
