Seriously, nobody cares.
Fake news is a real phenomenon, but this isn’t one of those cases. As the President continues to press the media to acknowledge he was right to warn Alabama about Hurricane Dorian, he’s only drawing excessive attention to a mistake. I get it. He doesn’t want to be wrong. Nobody does. But this is an instance in which the President needs to drop it. He should have dropped it the moment it happened.
Just as I said, Alabama was originally projected to be hit. The Fake News denies it! pic.twitter.com/elJ7ROfm2p

All he needed to do was Tweet something to the effect of, “Alabama has been removed from the list of states that could be affected by Hurricane Dorian. Praise God! Now, to all on the east coast, be ready. It seems to have turned to the north.”
If he had done anything like this, he would be fine. Instead, he keeps doubling- and tripling-down on it, trying to convince as many of his supporters as possible that he was right and the media was wrong to make fun of him. It’s a futile effort that’s adding way more attention to the subject than it deserves.
So it keeps going….

5/ Roberts referred a reporter to Fox News PR when asked for comment. Fox News PR did not immediately respond to a message.
Roberts says he pointed out to the president that by the time of his Sunday 10:51 am ET tweet warning Alabama (as well as other states) of the storm,…

7/ ”He also reminded that on occasions in the past, forecast tracks have changed dramatically,” Roberts wrote.
It’s Thursday. Bahamians have been killed, Dorian is making its way up the Carolinas, and the president is still fixated on this.

Alabama is not an issue. The Bahamas need attention. The east coast needs attention. We support the President, but on this issue he’s creating a political mess for no apparent reason other than covering up mistake.
