Before Robert Mueller testified before Congress last week, nobody doubted that he was the man in charge of the Russia investigation that took nearly two years and tens of millions of taxpayer dollars while yielding no fruit against the administration itself. But following his testimony, three things became clear. Mueller didn’t write the Mueller Report. Mueller apparently didn’t read much of the Mueller Report. Mueller likely wasn’t completely in charge the way most people believed.
If he wasn’t driving it, who was? His second-in-command, Andrew Weissmann, was likely the person behind the investigation and the report. according to this video from Epoch Times. In it, they look into the Hillary Clinton supporter and his possible motivations for prolonging the investigation as long as it endured.
“Robert Mueller’s confused, garbled testimony made it abundantly clear that he was nothing more than a figurehead for the Special Counsel investigation that he led for 22 painstaking months,” said Gina Shakespeare. “The real mastermind behind this travesty of an investigation was Mueller’s second-in-command, Andrew Weissmann, and it’s time that he be held to account.”
One of the instant talking points from Democrats defending the sanctity of the investigation was the fact that Mueller is a lifelong Republican. But Weissmann isn’t. Not even close. On election night, 2016, Weissmann was one of the honored guests at Hillary Clinton’s election night party in what was supposed to be a celebration.
The time has come to uncover the sources and shadowy details behind the Russia investigation. Now that we have a good idea Mueller wasn’t as in control as we were led to believe, it’s time to take a closer look at Andrew Weissman.
