Three juveniles in Maryland are being charged as adults for the murder of a 14-year-old girl. According to police, she was killed with baseball bats and a machete before her body was dumped in a creek.
Josue Fuentes-Ponce, 16, Joel Escobar, 17, and Cynthia Hernandez-Nucamendi, 14, have been charged with the murder of Ariana Funes-Diaz. Police are also seeking a fourth suspect.
According to Fox News, the victim was likely going to report a crime the group had committed the day before she was murdered.
She and the three murder suspects on April 17 robbed a man who was snatched off the street in Washington and taken to an abandoned house, police said.
The next day, Funes-Diaz was driven to a wooded area and killed, Reilly said.
It’s important to understand the context here. This isn’t violence being perpetrated between rival gangs. This is a murderous reaction to someone who was part of the MS-13 lifestyle, who allegedly participated in a crime the day before. This is important because those who say this type of violence is nothing new aren’t really paying attention.
Gang violence is becoming more gruesome and the criminals themselves are younger than the “good ol’ days” when much violence happened between rival gangs and was perpetrated mostly by adults. These children, the ones who are often being protected as DREAMers because of their age, are not represented by the feel-good leftist media for what they are. Does that mean all DREAMers are bad? Of course not. But hearing it from the press and the Democrats, one might believe all DREAMers are good.
The reality is this: many of the people coming across the border are doing so because they can live their lives of crime with less of a chance of being caught. In fact, many of them receive protection from Democrats in the form of sanctuary cities and welfare intended to help American citizens who need a break.
We, as a nation, are playing the fool in the face of such clear indicators about the nature of the problem at the southern border.
“Consistently what we’ve seen with cases involving MS-13 is violence that’s disturbing.” – Maj. Brian Reilly
As long as the left refuses to acknowledge the gang violence that is directly fueled by illegal immigration across our southern border, these heinous acts of violence will continue. This isn’t just about migrants. It’s about violence criminals.
