As the Venezuelan uprising turns violent amid media blackouts and complete chaos, President Trump sent a stark warning to Cuba.
….embargo, together with highest-level sanctions, will be placed on the island of Cuba. Hopefully, all Cuban soldiers will promptly and peacefully return to their island!

Cuba has supported contested President Nicolas Maduro. The United States has supported Juan Guaido. As the resistance movement appears to be making moves, the counter-strikes by Maduro loyalists have been brutal.
It’s assumed the President is aware of Cuban actions in Venezuela and is calling for them to stand down. This new wrinkle adds to the tension that is quickly turning this revolution into a much wider-ranging event.
