President Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson admitted what most leftists still deny despite the clear evidence that supports it: We have a crisis at the border. While stopping shy of directly supporting any of President Trump’s proposed measures to fight illegal immigration, he acknowledged we need to do much more to make the borders secure.
He also said there are right and wrong ways to go about securing the border, including the claim that President Trump must not go around Congress to get the budget to take action. This is important because whenever Fox News host Neil Cavuto pressed Johnson on whether or not there was an emergency, Johnson went back to the word crisis.
Yes. There is a crisis. Obama-era DHS chief Jeh Johnson says US has a ‘crisis’ at the southern borderhttps://t.co/8LP8zfTj7l

It’s six of one, half a dozen of the other. Crisis, emergency, whatever you want to call it, there’s a major problem at our southern border and it’s about to get worse once the “mother of all caravans” takes flight. While Washington DC continues to point fingers with Republicans pointing at Democrats and Democrats pointing at the President, nothing is being done to equip our border patrol with the resources and manpower they need to address the problem.
The biggest fear of the Democrats is that the border security issue becomes so bad ahead of the 2020 election that it becomes the defining issue. If that happens, they will look like idiots for not addressing the problem when they could. But to address the problem means giving the President what he wants. That’s just as bad for them going into the election. It’s a Catch-22.
We’re beyond playing political games. This situation has gotten to the point that DC needs to finally acknowledge the problem and address it accordingly. Otherwise, we’re not going to have a nation left to vote in 2020.
