James Madison on the only legitimate fountain of power

James Madison on the only legitimate fountain of power

If ever there was a quote made for the people of today, it’s this one. So many Americans are lost in the fog of false accountability. We rely too heavily on government because we assume they have the power. In some ways, they do, but it’s a power limited by the constraints of the Constitution. This is important to remember because too often it’s just assumed that what the government says or does is to be taken as the final word.

We have the power. It’s not just with our votes. We have the ability to rise up and work together to rein in the tremendous levels of overreach we’ve seen from Washington DC our whole lives. We don’t need to rise up in arms as our founding fathers did. Today, we still have enough law and order in America to be able to rely on proper political channels. This is why the growth of the American Conservative Movement is so vibrant and relevant. It’s time to reassert our interest and adherence to the Constitutional governance we have at our fingertips.

“The people are the only legitimate fountain of power, and it is from them that the constitutional charter, under which the several branches of government hold their power, is derived.”

Invoke your power. It’s time to say no to politicians when they attempt to go outside of the bounds of the Constitution.

Conservatives would be wise to keep AOC in the news

Conservatives would be wise to keep AOC in the news

Before the 2018 midterm elections, there was a general consensus among those in a conservative chat group I run that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would become the face of the Democratic Party. We were correct. Where we were wrong is in thinking this would be a bad thing. I personally thought a young, energetic millennial would be a rallying force that showed Americans government belonged in the hands of millennials and, by proxy, the Democratic party.

That was before we learned how radical she really was. Now that her true colors have been revealed to the world, I’m changing my stance. She is the face of the Democratic Party, and this can be a very good thing for conservatives as long as we do two things.

A recent Axios poll shows AOC’s clout is rising.

Exclusive poll: AOC defining Dems in swing states

The findings:

  • Ocasio-Cortez was recognized by 74% of voters in the poll; 22% had a favorable view.
  • Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — another member of The Squad — was recognized by 53% of the voters; 9% (not a typo) had a favorable view.

Socialism was viewed favorably by 18% of the voters and unfavorably by 69%.

  • Capitalism was 56% favorable; 32% unfavorable.
  • “Socialism is toxic to these voters,” said the top Democrat.

All the information we need is right there to tell us the two things that must happen for the GOP to retain the Senate and White House and win back the House of Representatives in 2020. First, we must keep AOC and her “squad” – Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaid – in the news. Thankfully, they readily oblige by giving journalists on both sides of the aisle more fodder than anyone other than the President.

Second, we must hammer home the notion that socialism is very, very bad. Open borders, Medicare-for-All, gun confiscations, and the Green New Deal are all topics that should be hammered as well, but they need much more explaining. Socialism is generally recognized as bad and we need that perception to grow. This is extremely important because right now, many radical progressives are selling the idea of “Democratic Socialism” to anyone they influence. They’re saying it’s different from Venezuela and everywhere else that socialism has been tried and failed miserably.

They’re pushing this notion hard. We need to spread the truth even harder.

If there’s one certainty in election politics, it’s that ignorance rules. We cannot assume that average apolitical Americans are going to be acutely aware of the dangers of socialism or the people who are pushing the notion. Assume the people generally don’t understand. For example, most Americans favor Medicare-for-All until they find out what’s in it. The same can likely be said about the Green New Deal as the vast majority of Americans would classify it as a green initiative that is trying to fight climate change. But even one of the plan’s architects, AOC’s Chief of Staff Saikat Chakrabarti, balks at the notion that it’s a “climate change thing.”

Conservatives have the truth on our side, and people like AOC are doing everything they can to subvert the truth. Many voters are misinformed, but they’re not stupid. We must make them acutely aware of the dangers of radical progressivism.

A taste of unpersonhood

A taste of unpersonhood

A Twitter outage was an object lesson in what is at stake in the Left’s culture war on Liberty.

There was a Twitter outage early Thursday afternoon that had a number of people in the states, UK and elsewhere, wondering if they had just been banned from the socialist… social… media “platform”. Were they suddenly an unperson in the parlance of 1984, someone removed from the virtual public square, never to be heard of again? Were they banished by the Leftist elite that only pretends to be Liberal for some unknown transgression?

The hour-long outage was an abject lesson in the hazards of the Left’s attempted culture war on free speech and Liberty. It was more than ironic that this took place on the same day, as the social media summit at the White House. Apparently anyone not of the Totalitarian Ten Percent is considered to be ‘Right Wing’ by our betters of the Far Left elite in the national socialist media.

Visions of the future where Conservatives are deemed to be unpersons by the Left.

What was a temporary inconvenience could become permanent oppression by those who supposedly champion Liberty. In many ways, the social media monopolists used our principles against us. That our precepts grounded in private property were to be our Achilles’ heel. All they had to do was to create a social sphere that they control based on private entities and they could just wipe us on the Pro-Liberty Right out of existence.

In a larger sense, this isn’t about the private platform ‘Loophole’ but the culture of Liberty. After all, these are people who love to exploit the false label of Liberal. Oh no, we can’t possibly be against Liberty, we’re Liberals don’t you know.

We’re also not buying into the post modernistic tripe that words have changed over time. The fact is Liberty is the key word in all of this, with it having the same linguistic roots as all other words on the same subject and sound. No matter what, it’s presumed that a Liberal supports Liberty, recent events have shown this is no longer the case.

We all used to share a common vision of free speech, the right of self-defense, presumption of innocence and due process. The Left has moved so far to the totalitarian extremes that it has rejected belief in all of those basic human and civil rights.

Shouldn’t the people who claim to be Liberal champion the cause of Liberty?

The Authoritarian Socialist Left should be under no delusions that we will agree to be silenced. They love to use our rules against us; perhaps it’s time that we point out that these people supposedly champion Liberty. Thus, they should be the first people in line when it comes to the defense of basic civil liberties.

Why aren’t the people who are supposedly Liberal outraged over the suppression of free speech? For that matter, why aren’t they upset over the Left’s incessant campaign against the right of self-defense and other basic human rights?

If they cannot find it in themselves to defend the cause of Liberty, perhaps they need to come out of the authoritarian closet and be truthful for once about who they are.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” – John F. Kennedy

We can do this the easy way or we can do it the hard way.

If they cannot change their ways, then another solution will need to be implemented. As Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA opined in the Washington Post: It’s time to treat tech platforms like publishers.  Pointing out that the social media giants need to be treated as publishers if they are going to act like publishers in controlling online content. They like to have it both ways –having the legal protection of merely being platform while censoring content.

The Takeaway.

As others have stated, the current paradigm of the social media giants enjoying the protections of being a platform whilst controlling content will eventually lead to a Conservative extinction. Something has to be done about the situation; they can either go back to being platforms or have those protections removed. Either one is going to happen. The status quo is untenable.

Watch: Trump at CPAC implicating Bill Clinton at Epstein Island

Watch Trump at CPAC implicating Bill Clinton at Epstein Island

Full quote:

Sean Hannity: Bill Clinton

Donald Trump: a nice guy, got a lot of problems coming up, in my opinion, with the famous island with Jeffrey Epstein, a lot of problems.

What does it mean?

Trump heavily implied Bill Clinton partook in the sexual acts at the infamous acts on Jeffrey Epstein’s island. However there are a number of reasons Trump could be saying these things. Donald Trump is not afraid to take a conspiracy theory by the horns, especially since his campaign was built on saying that which other candidates won’t. Violating conventional wisdom was part of his appeal, and very few politicians at the time, 3 plus years ago, would have made that claim. Therein lies the possibility, however slim, of Trump blowing smoke.

Secondly, Trump could be outing Bill Clinton because he knows it’s true. Bill Clinton’s finger prints on this pedophile playland are well documented. There are a score of flight logs and those flight logs contain the initials of several, what are believe to be victims. Fox News reported back in 2016:

Clinton’s presence aboard Jeffrey Epstein’s Boeing 727 on 11 occasions has been reported, but flight logs show the number is more than double that, and trips between 2001 and 2003 included extended junkets around the world with Epstein and fellow passengers identified on manifests by their initials or first names, including “Tatiana.” The tricked-out jet earned its Nabakov-inspired nickname because it was reportedly outfitted with a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls.

The flight logs are required to be filed with the Federal Aviation Administration.

There report also included a picture. Still, if Trump knew about all of this, it raises questions why he did not champion this during his campaign, seeing as many Americans if they knew such things were going on would raise hell about it. Raising awareness and making this issue the focal point of the news cycle was certainly achievable for the Trump campaign. Instead, Trump’s comments are almost in passing and rather unemotional, given the gravity of the accusations. At best for Bill Clinton, Trump is merely implying that Bill Clinton could have legal trouble, not necessarily that he’s guilty of anything.

Trump could also have something to hide, in regards to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. This would be the worst case scenario: “a takes on to know one” sort of affair. If Trump is fully aware of Bill Clinton’s escapades, it could be because Trump is also a participant. This is not a statement of what is likely; instead it is honest speculation of what possibilities are conceivable. What I am saying is that it is more conceivable that Trump partook in these activities than Brett Kavanaugh raped some professor, simply because the connection between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein is well-documented. Vice referred to Sex Island as “The Salacious Ammo Even Donald Trump Won’t Use in a Fight Against Hillary Clinton” back in 2016. And while that is the Leftist media talking, The Daily Wire also floated such suspicions. Though the Daily Wire alleged Trump visited the island, though the aforementioned Vice article it linked to only asserted that Trump visited Epstein’s stateside residences. While Trump’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein can be explained by two New York moguls networking, other comments by Trump cannot be. Specifically his 2002 comments in New York Magazine:

“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Perhaps Trump doesn’t know how young, but Trump would have to be really bad at being a pedophile to make a slip up this bad. 2002 was during the period of time when Bill Clinton was flying to Sex Slave Island. This quote is more damning, less explainable than Epstein pleading the fifth when questioned about Donald Trump in 2010. But in anticipating a light sentence, perhaps Epstein didn’t want to burn bridges and perhaps he wanted to leave blackmail opportunities open in the future. Or perhaps Trump had details that would further implicate Epstein, thus pleading the fifth was the most strategic course of action. The situation leaves many questions unanswered.

Shortlist of things we do know about Trump and Epstein

Trump and Epstein are acquainted. The Trump administration is prosecuting Jeffrey Epstein with a Trump appointed attorney in the Southern District of New York. Alexander Acosta is a creature of the Bush administration. This case has the potential to be a catalyst for far more scandals.

It’s most likely Trump is more informed on the Bill Clinton Jeffrey Epstein interactions than he let on back in 2016. However his own connection is up for debate. Conservative media cannot be an ostrich head in the sand when it comes to this, especially when in 2016, Conservative media floated the very allegations the Left is floating now. Still, if Trump is a pedophile participant, it is entirely counter to his interest to allow the Justice Department to investigate Jeffrey Epstein. If Trump is innocent, an innocent person would be cheering for the investigation allowing it to take down all involved parties. It’s a positive sign that the Trump administration is prosecuting Jeffrey Epstein, especially after his sweetheart deal. The only people who do not take pedophilia seriously are people with something to hide, and, by looks, Trump is taking this more seriously than he would if he were guilty of anything.
