Update 2: A “mixup” happened. Again. Apparently, the Broward County election supervisor mixed valid and invalid ballots together, adding more fuel to the fire. This is gross incompetence at best, corruption at worst.
A Florida election supervisor mixed some invalid ballots along with about 200 valid ones, according to a report, in the latest example of what Republicans say has been the incompetent handling of votes as the state braces for a possible recount.
The error was found after Brenda Snipes, a Broward County official who has a long history of controversies involving vote counting, agreed to present 205 provisional ballots to the county’s canvassing board for inspection, the Miami Herald reported.
Update 1: It’s now past 7pm in Florida and Snipes has not complied with the court order.according to multiple reports.
Rick Scott got two of his wishes. A Broward County judge ordered ballot counts must be given to his Senatorial campaign by 7pm today and declared that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes had violated Florida public records laws.
This isn’t the first time Snipes has been hit by the court as Republicans nationwide question her integrity.
Lest we forget, Dr. Snipes was already ruled against for breaking federal election laws last year. She ordered the destruction of ballots in Debbie Wasserman Schultz’ 2016 primary before they were supposed to be destroyed while a lawsuit was pending on the race.
Governor Rick Scott, who won the Senate seat this election, has filed a lawsuit against top Florida election officials.
Circuit Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips said the information Scott’s campaign has been requesting “should be a matter of record at this time. And it should be immediately available.”
As Democrats complain about Republicans rushing the process, they willfully the clear peculiarities surrounding Broward County’s handling of the entire situation.
Elections are supposed to be transparent with information made available as soon as possible. The smokescreens and subterfuge being dished out by Broward County officials would be hilarious if it wasn’t so dangerous to the republic.

A. Whether or not she’s “prepared” is irrelevant. A judge ordered her to turn over the records.
B. Not only should she step down, she should be taken out of her office in handcuffs. https://t.co/0nrJ83JJy7

The Broward County ballot magician, Brenda Snipes, was just swiftly rebuked by a judge (yet again) for her antics!!!
