Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) will be introducing the Wall Act today to start the ball rolling on a rapid build for the southern wall along the U.S. border with Mexico. In it, he will detail where the wall will be built, how big it’s going to be, and most importantly how to pay for it.
Before getting into politics, Inhofe was a developer in South Texas. He’s very familiar with the problems we’re experiencing with illegal immigration. The migrant caravans heading our way concern him greatly.
“We’ve all been hearing about the caravan,” he said on a Twitter video. “It’s a serious thing. It’s a large number of people that ranges somewhere between 5,000 and 15,000.”

Yes, we need a wall. Yes, we need it to be responsibly funded. I trust Senator Inhofe to have a solid plan to make this happen.
Twitter comments are, of course, insane. Inhofe has built quite the “fan” base as leftists express their discontent with the notion. Some even turned to “science” to argue why a wall is a bad idea. The comments make me want to support this bill even more, if that were even possible,
The timing is interesting. It obviously coincides with the migrant caravan, but there are election implications as well. It’s more incentive (not that more was needed) to make sure Republicans retain control of the Senate AND the House.
