Boko Haram continues its reign of terror

American media often neglects to report on Boko Haram, the Islamic State of west Africa. After a “resolution” was achieved following the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping incident of 2014, the group has gone widely unreported by western media.

These men are butchers, arguably more dangerous than any other Islamic State operations and completely out of control as they roam Africa in search of innocent targets. The latest were a dozen farmers who were hacked to pieces by Boko Haram with their machetes.

Dozens Of Farmers Feared Killed In Borno By Boko Haram Insurgents

https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/271792/dozens-of-farmers-feared-killed-in-borno-by-boko-haram-insur.htmlA Civilian JTF Leader, Baba Kura Konomi on Saturday in Maiduguri disclosed to newsmen that the farmers were killed, without firing any shot from the guns mounted on the two trucks.

He said: “The insurgents used machetes instead of guns to kill the farmers who were working on their farmlands, located about 185-kilometres along Maiduguri-Damboa road.”

It isn’t just western media that’s ignoring them. Even local media often refrains from publishing stories about them while the government turns a blind eye, usually waiting until the stories are reported by outside agencies before acknowledging the events even happened.

At any random moment, residents anywhere in west Africa realize they may become targets.

Western news agencies do not cover Boko Haram because western media consumers do not seem to care about them. This attitude is not only dangerous for the victims. It empowers these terrorists to achieve their ultimate goal of spreading terror everywhere.

16-year-old illegal alien Domingo Marcos accused of killing teacher in head-on-collision

16-year-old illegal alien Domingo Marcos accused of killing teacher in head-on-collision

When Domingo Marcos, 16, crossed our southern border illegally in 2017, he immediately asked for asylum. He was given a date for his asylum hearing and released. When he didn’t show up for his hearing, his asylum was denied and a deportation order went out. Unfortunately, law enforcement didn’t catch up with him until he allegedly killed Alabama school teacher Sonya Jones in a head-on collision.

According to MyNBC15:

Prosecutors say Marcos is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala who tried to claim asylum in Arizona in 2017. When he was a no show to his hearing, prosecutors say he was denied asylum and issued a final order of deportation. Authorities didn’t catch up with him until Monday’s crash.

My Take

Most of the stories about illegal immigrant crimes we cover here have to do with heinous acts committed by adults. This is a reminder that there are dangers posed to American citizens that come in many forms from illegal immigrants. Not all of the pain they cause is intentional, and not all of those causing the pain are adults.

Things may be very different today if more illegal immigrants who apply for asylum showed up to their hearings. This goes to show it’s often considered easier to flea from the law for the rest of their lives and hope for Democrats to give them amnesty in the future rather that risk failing the very difficult task of demonstrating a valid need for asylum. The left will say the system needs to be changed to allow more asylum-seekers to stay in the country legally. That may actually be the case, but until we stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming over the southern border, it’s really a moot point.

America is the most generous nation in the world in dealing with illegal immigrants. We can be strong defenders of our own sovereignty and still be compassionate, but it must start by securing the border. We need the wall up immediately.

Mark Geragos, lawyer to Kaepernick, Smollett, and Jackson, likely unnamed co-conspirator with Michael Avenatti

Mark Geragos lawyer to Kaepernick Smollett and Jackson likely unnamed co-conspirator with Michael Av

Michael Avenatti may be getting all the headlines, but his unnamed co-conspirator may be even more of a catch in the extortion case that got Avenatti arrested. Mark Geragos, a regular CNN analyst and lawyer to famous people like Colin Kaepernick, Jussie Smollett, and Michael Jackson, is supposedly the unnamed co-conspirator.

My Take

Avenatti is a spotlight hog. He’s the guy you call if you want the attention paid to your lawyer instead of you. He draws fire and offers cover while still getting your case plenty of attention.

Geragos is the guy you call if you need a real lawyer.

This is why people who aren’t stars call Avenatti while those who are aleady stars call Geragos. He’s a high-dollar hired gun who delivers results. This time, he may have gotten caught with his hand in the wrong cookie jar.

The fact that he’s a CNN analyst certainly adds poetic justice to this. CNN is one of the biggest culprits who helped make Avenatti a star in the first place.

Venezuela is colluding with Russia while America is distracted by Trump not colluding with Russia

Venezuela is colluding with Russia while America is distracted by Trump not colluding with Russia

Two Russian jets carrying troops and equipment landed in Caracas, Venezuela, as part of a mission to “fullfil technical military contracts,” according to Russian media. But it’s almost certain this is part of Russia’s play on Venezuela to prop up socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro just as they did with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, most Americans who follow the news cycle were bombarded with perspectives on Attorney General William Barr’s summary of the Robert Mueller investigation report. In it, President Trump and his 2016 campaign were found to not have colluded with the Russians in their election hacking endeavors.

My Take

While most were focused on fake Russian collusion, the real thing was happening in one of the world’s hottest spots, Venezuela.

Russia’s play here is simple: keep Maduro in power at all costs. They got the drop on any actions the United States may have been planning, though it’s unlikely those plans included military intervention. Still, Russia isn’t taking any chances. By getting troops and equipment on the ground, they’ll be able help Maduro by offering cover from outside actions while bolstering his support internally.

Any defections or coup attempts will be much less likely with Russia directly involved.

The opposition leader who America and over 50 other nations consider to be the rightful interim president, Juan Guaido, has been trying to get international support while maintaining domestic support, but Maduro’s move may have prevented that from happening.

In essence, the battle over Venezuela is now over. It’s unfathomable to conceive of action by the United States or any other’s who support Guaido other than diplomatic efforts that will accomplish nothing. Venezuela is doomed to retain their socialist dictator now.
