White House suspends Jim Acosta’s press pass

Published

on

CNN’s Jim Acosta has had his press pass suspended “until further notice” by the White House.

Acosta made himself the center of attention at the post-election presidential press conference.

Jim Acosta really is an idiot

http://noqreport.com/2018/11/07/jim-acosta-really-idiot/I’m not a fan of the President going after the press all the time. That’s not to say he’s not justified based upon their treatment of him, but it simply doesn’t behoove him or the nation when he brings it up all the time. When they strike first and prove his point, how he reacts to them is definitely acceptable.

CNN’s Jim Acosta is an idiot. Every time he has the mic it’s a an opportunity for the narcissist to say, “Look at me, I’m defiant, I’m the Resistance!” He did it again today and the President handled it well.

My Take

This is a good thing for Jim “Look at Me” Acosta. That’s not to say it’s a bad move by the White House, but Acosta is trying to build a career as a resistance leader, not a journalist. For now, he gets his wish. The biggest loser is CNN, but who cares?

Charlie Kirk points to the danger that’s present and the media that’s absent

Charlie Kirk points to the danger that's present and the media that's absent

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is no stranger to attacking the media for the leftist propaganda and reporting hypocrisy. He’s also built a reputation of defending conservatives on campus where they are arguably the most targeted for their beliefs.

These two areas of expertise collided in one poignant quote following an incident in which a conservative was attacked on the Berkeley campus for being a conservative, the whole Jussie Smollett incident, and the conspicuous absence of mainstream media coverage of both.

Seriously, where is the media?

This is why it’s so important for independent conservative news outlets like NOQ Report to grow and flourish. We are 100% crowdfunded and we desperately need the support.

Lara Logan’s message about the media must not go unheard

Lara Logans message about the media must not go unheard

It’s unfortunate that most Americans still have no idea who Lara Logan is. She is brave. She is usually accurate. She isn’t impressed by the leftist rhetoric in the journalistic echo chamber in which she’s operated most of her adult life. All three of these things makes her an enigma in the world of mainstream media.

Her message yesterday during the Mike Drop Podcast was one the world needs to hear. Whether you want to listen to three and a half hours of curse-laden podcasting or if you just want to know the gist is up to you, but don’t dismiss the message outright. This is too important.

What Logan said is what a good number of conservative Americans have known for a long time: mainstream media leans very much to the left. They’ve been left-leaning for at least three decades, but today’s variation of “objective truth” is far from objective and rarely the truth. As Logan noted, the newsrooms of America’s journalistic outlets are not made up of the unbiased truth-tellers they’d like us to believe they are. Instead, they’re made up of political activists with the vast majority of them (85% according to Logan) leaning to the left.

As some are aware, their lean has turned into a full-blown lurch to the left during the Trump era.

What does this mean for journalism? Does it mean we need more unbiased reporting? This is a question we’ve asked many times at NOQ Report. Since the vast majority of our writers are conservatives, it would make sense to continue to be a right-leaning publication. But some have suggested that America needs more unbiased reporting, and we’re definitely capable of doing that. But here’s the thing. If we and others go down the unbiased road while most of mainstream media remains bound to the left, are we really making a difference? The answer that we invariably come to is, “No.”

The only way to truly fight the bias is to maintain a sense of honesty about our perspectives. That means we are biased to both the conservative philosophy and the truth itself. Unlike leftist media, intellectually honest conservative media has the advantage of being both truthful and righteous simultaneously. This is why we can call out President Trump or the Republican Party when it’s appropriate. We are beholden to an ideology, not a political party, and therefore we do not have to hide the truth just because it isn’t convenient come election time.

Support independent conservative journalism.

As I’ve done many times in the past, I have no problem with calling out anyone in any party when their actions are in opposition to the limited-government, federalism-minded, conservatively balanced philosophies we espouse. When President Trump had acting AG Matthew Whitaker sign the bump stock ban, we weren’t sitting back running cover for the President. We called out him, his administration, and every politician that supported this obtuse affront on the 2nd Amendment.

Lara Logan may or may not be calling out the media for their bias out of a sense or duty. There’s no way to know her heart. But her words were truthful and there seems to be nothing for her to gain from them. This message is one that deserves attention.

Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann sues WaPo for a quarter of a billion dollars

Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann sues WaPo for a quarter of a billion dollars

The “MAGA Kids” may end up getting their day in court after all. Since Covington Catholic School students were falsely accused by many in mainstream media of attacking a Native American activist at the March for Life rally in Washington DC, many have speculated they would be preparing a lawsuit. The family of Nick Sandmann, who was at the center of the controversy, retained an attorney last month.

Now, it seems the attorneys have been working overtime.

My Take

This is going to open up another round of attacks against Sandmann and the “MAGA Kids” because of the size of the lawsuit and the targets. Going after the media is always hard (as it should be) and demonstrating harm to the tune of a quarter billion dollars is going to be even harder. Nevertheless, this was the next natural step after the torment they went through following the incident.

Before anyone calls him weak for using the broken system to try to score a paycheck, we must remember these events are going to harm him well into his adult life. Even today, after all of the allegations against him have been thoroughly debunked, he’s still regarded negatively by many leftists simply because he had the nerve to wear a MAGA hat.

Is his suffering worth $250 million? That’s for others to decide. But the damage the media and leftist politicians did to these kids is definitely worth something. Hopefully, they’ll be able to rebuild their lives with whatever they’re awarded.
