This may be one of the very few occasions when a remake is worthy. Hollywood has been reliant on remakes, reboots, redos, and superhero flicks for a decade. I hate that. It rarely yields good movies, yet Hollywood’s profit machine is driven by what audiences want. It’s poised to be profitable before Monday, making it a gigantic win in an industry that often has to rely on international box office results to make their money back.
