It was easily foreseeable the tomfoolery the government would invite when it embraced transgenderism. Target’s bathroom policy quickly opened the door and drew attention to bathroom incidents. But public safety isn’t the only concern with accepting gender fluidity dogmatically. An Alberta man sought to game the system for cheaper car insurance. Charging men more than women is an industry practice for car insurance, making a gender change a heist that could save him 15% or more on his car insurance. What internet trolls often joke about, a Canadian man actually accomplished.

Alberta man changes gender on government IDs for cheaper car insurance
It started when an insurance company gave David a quote — roughly $4,500 a year, if he bought the Chevy. He had a collision and a ticket or two on his record, which helped boost the premium.
Then, he had an idea. He asked the insurer what his costs would be if he were a woman. He was told his annual bill would sink to roughly $3,400 — a $1,100 difference.
“I was pretty angry about that. And I didn’t feel like getting screwed over any more,” he said.
“So I asked them to change my gender on my auto policy, and she’s like, we can’t do that.”
According to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, men under 25 are generally at higher risk of collision than women of the same age, which means their premiums are often higher.
Reactions
The insurance industry is the one with the sexual discrimination and this guy is using their system to fight back and level the playing field…we should all be upset with the insurance industry for allowing sexual discrimination to exist in their pricing policies

My Take
Canada invited this tomfoolery and now they have to live with it. When the government choose to ignore science, they shouldn’t be surprised that people change genders on government documents for their own personal gain. That’s exactly what this guy did in Alberta, Canada. Perhaps society should debate the impact of discrimination applied by car insurance companies, but as a staunch supporter of the free market, I hope that competition will solve the problem.
At the end of the day, this guy changed his gender without having to prove anything. The social justice warriors had there way and no evidence was needed to change identities. This just shows how low the threshold is, for evidence, in accepting people’s gender identity as fact. The Alberta man did it to save $91/month. You decide whether it’s worth it.
