Two years after US supply chains were paralyzed, sending prices of goods soaring because west coast ports were unable to offload inbound cargo ships due to a shortage of employees as a result of covid which led to a historic congestion in ships waiting offshore, the number of vessels due to dock at the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach is once again piling up…. only this time it’s not covid or China’s fault: this time it’s the good old labor union that are responsible for slowdowns at West Coast port terminals which have again impacted supply chain operations, from trucks to rails and ocean carriers.
