During a Congressional hearing on ‘LGBTQ Civil Rights’, Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson was unable to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when asked by Senator Ted Cruz if she believes there is any difference between men and women.
Cruz had asked the same question to former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, who was present to share her experience of having to competing against and share facilities with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. Cruz asked Gaines “as someone who competed at the elite level, in your experiences, is there a difference between women and men?”
