President Joe Biden’s age is not the only hurdle he will be facing in the 2024 presidential election, as record numbers of Americans say they are worse off financially under his presidency and former President Donald Trump is polling significantly higher in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, according to a poll released Sunday.
Just 15% of Americans say they are financially better off under Biden, which is among the lowest of all presidents dating back to Ronald Reagan, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll . Meanwhile, 44% of Americans say they are not as well off as they were before Biden entered the Oval Office, which is the highest percentage of Americans to say so for any ABC/Post poll since the outlets began posing the question in 1986.
