( Mark Pellin , Headline USA ) Less than 48 hours after declaring that he would back primary challenges of any House Republican who didn’t support impeaching Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump called for Sen. Mitch McConnell , R-Ky., to step down from his position as Senate minority leader.
“We have to have that,” Trump said when asked by Breitbart News if Senate Republicans need a new leader. “No, we have to have that.”
Trump’s comments followed a McConnell health scare last week, when the lawmaker appeared to suffer a stroke during a press conference, and on the heels of previous McConnell health issues.
