Former President Donald Trump on Friday wished his wife Melania a happy birthday from a New York courthouse, saying he couldn’t celebrate with her due to the trial.
“I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday,” Trump said in a video posted to TRUTH Social. “It would be nice to be with her but I’m at a courthouse for a rigged trial.”
The former president is currently in New York facing charges brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over a 2016 payment Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, made to Stormy Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 34 counts.
