The Washington Post is attacking the Trump -appointed justice Brantley Starr, who penalized Southwest Airlines for firing a Christian conservative, referring to it as an ‘extremist’ ruling that promoted a right-wing ‘reeducation program.’
U.S. District Judge Starr awarded former Southwest Airlines employee Charlene Carter $5 million after she was unfairly dismissed for speaking out against the company and its employees’ position on abortion and the Washington D.C. “women’s march.”
Her behavior was called “inappropriate, harassing, and offensive” and “crossed the boundaries of acceptable behavior” by the airline, and she was summarily fired.
Justice Starr found the decision violated her rights under federal law and discriminated against her as a result of her religious beliefs.
