House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said he’s not confident the “extreme MAGA Republicans” in the House would certify the election if Donald Trump loses.
CNN’s “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper teed it up for Jeffries by by claiming that Trump and his allies are “laying the groundwork” to “contest” the election results if Kamala Harris wins.
“Are you confident the Republican-led House will certify the 2024 election in January?” Tapper asked him.
“I’m confident we’re going to do everything we need to do over the next few months to ensure the House Democrats take back the majority so that the American people do not have to encounter that question,” Jeffries responded. […]
