It was one of those commercials designed to tug at the heart. The urgent voice-over…the medical-looking footage…the appeal for donors to give just $19 a month…everything was meant to build on the charitable instinct of the viewer.
But the organization soliciting the funds was not working toward a cure for pediatric cancer or immediate medical care for children. In fact, the organization actually eliminates children while they are still in their mothers’ wombs.
I was shocked when I saw the Planned Parenthood commercial over the holidays. Rather than spreading good cheer, the organization takes the lives of hundreds of thousands of preborn babies each year.
