Yet, it is precisely in this picturesque setting that the headmaster expresses concerns about the girls’ safety and sends an urgent warning to parents, advising them to ensure their children travel to school in groups. This precautionary measure follows a recent rape incident involving migrants in a nearby park during broad daylight.
The Catholic school has since sent a letter to parents addressing the safety of their daughters on their way to school. In the letter, dated January 30th and made available to Bild, Dr. Hans Lindner, headmaste r of the high school and the secondary school at The St. Marien Schools , states: “Regardless of the time of day, your daughters should ideally go to school in groups and only use well-lit streets.”
