Last month, officers were put on paid administrative leave over the Nashville Manifesto leak. A spokesperson for the department said it was “to protect the integrity of the active, progressing investigation.” It came on the heels of Steven Crowder, host of Louder with Crowder, releasing three pages of the manifesto that implies Nashville shooter Audrey Hale was motivated by the progressive belief of “white privilege” and targeted white people as a result .
